Panels and Contracts

He Walked In for a Superman Poster. He Left With a Different Name.

There’s a floor below the penthouse Jason has never been to.

Chapter 13 of Hold Fast starts there — a door Rami keypad-opens at the end of a dark-paneled hallway, an office built for exactly one person, and a signed 1978 Superman theatrical release poster that stops Jason cold in the doorway.

That’s not even the thing that changes everything.

On the desk is a black folder with silver lettering. Rami hands it over and says three words: read it first.

What’s inside is thorough. Meticulous. Legal. And somewhere in the middle of it, two words Jason wasn’t prepared for.

Then Rami opens a drawer and puts a business card on the desk.

Jason reads it. Looks up. Reads it again.

Chapter 13 is the one where Jason Clarke stops wondering if he belongs here and starts understanding what here actually is.
